Kamalapuram, Warangal
Kamalapuram is a panchayat in Warangal district in the Indian state of Telangana State.
It is situated around 120 km from warangal headquarters and comes under mulugu constituency in Mangapet Mandal. It is also located at the banks of river Godavari. Majority of the population were employees from BILT, which is formerly called as AP Rayons. The rest of population depend on agriculture. Earlier it was an unknown village with very little population but once paper mill has been established in 1975 in the presence of Jalagam Vengala Rao former CM of Andhra Pradesh most of the people were migrated to this place from different corners of AP for an employment. After some period the paper mill has been taken over by Mr. L.M.Thapar and merged into BILT group in 1979. The entire project has become private. There the huge development was started up from 1980's like building a residential colony of 350 acres for the employees working in the organisation with all amenities like English medium High school, good sanitation, purified Godavari water for drinking, dispensary, sports club and entertainment, Balaji Temple. It has good transport facilities provided by Telangana state Government (TSRTC) to all the major cities like Warangal, Khammam, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam. Nearest town is Manuguru (Bandarugudem) 56km from village.
Kamalapuram is a small Cosmopolitan village people from different states of India.
Kamalapuram village is fecilitated with Panchayath Office, ZPPS High School, SBI Bank with ATM, BSNL Office, Post Office. The village has 2 Petrol Bunks, 3 English medium schools & 2 Telugu medium schools, 1 anganvadi school.
